Mercury

Mercury, native to the web and the BEAM

Web apps built by mx, rendered by Hyperscript, held by Hypergraph, on the BEAM. No Node, no React.

Mercury is a front-end you build with one native toolchain and run on the BEAM. This site teaches it: a course for each module, and a reference that comes from the source.

Start here

  1. Start an app with mx. The native toolchain: modules, the dev loop, build and ship. Its course comes in a later wave.
  2. Write components. Mercury Hyperscript, the virtual DOM and its hooks. Its course comes in a later wave.
  3. Use Mercury UI. The design system's components and tokens. Its course comes in a later wave.
  4. Model state. Hypergraph, the state kernel: start the Hypergraph course.
  5. Publish pages. Page documents and the block catalog. Its course comes in a later wave.
  6. Put islands in Phoenix and LiveView. Mercury on the BEAM. Its course comes in a later wave.
  7. Look up an API. The reference, generated from each package's source, comes in a later wave.
  8. Give your agent the docs. Append /llms.txt to any page's address.

Status

This site is new and is being built in waves. Each page says what is shipped, what is a preview, and what is planned. Mercury 4.0.0 is not published to a registry yet.

For agents

Every page answers its own address with /llms.txt appended: a short, hand-written companion with the page's purpose, its contract, a minimal example and the names never to emit. The site's map is at /llms.txt.
